Is this breaker bidirectional?

Yes. The arc-extinguishing chamber is bidirectional so the breaker installs correctly regardless of current direction — critical for PV strings where current can flow either way under fault conditions.

What's the difference between DC and AC MCBs?

AC breakers rely on the natural zero-crossing of the AC waveform to extinguish the arc. DC breakers need a magnetic blow-out chamber because DC has no zero crossing. Never substitute an AC MCB for DC service.

Can I use this at 1500V DC?

No — this model is rated for 1000V DC only. Contact us for 1500V DC options for utility-scale PV installations.

Do you supply PV combiner boxes with this MCB pre-installed?
